Golden Cross Health Plan Sales Suspension
In a statement released on Friday, the regulatory agency stated that the operator is not authorized to suspend the sale of its products on the announced date – 06/18 -, with all those registered with the regulator and with the status of ‘active’ remaining available for purchase by consumers until their suspension is duly authorized by ANS. The Golden Cross, on the other hand, mentioned that the temporary interruption in the sale of the health segment was intended to restructure its product portfolio. The company emphasized that dental segment plans continue to be sold normally.
Adapting to the Risk Sharing Program
To adapt to the new Risk Sharing Program, as outlined in regulatory resolution number 517 of ANS, to further enhance the quality of care provided by Golden and consumer protection, the company is taking necessary steps. The partnership with Amil will see customers of Golden Cross corporate medical plans being served in the Amil network starting July 1st.
Amil Partnership Benefits
With 240,000 Golden beneficiaries, primarily in Rio de Janeiro, now having access to excellence in all specialties and levels of care, along with dedicated service channels, the partnership with Amil is expected to bring efficiency gains due to scale and quality. The Amil network includes 12 hospitals and clinics that are references in Rio de Janeiro, complementing Golden’s tradition of care with Amil’s modern structure.
Shared Risk Program and Quality Care
The shared risk program, in accordance with ANS resolution number 517, aims to further enhance the quality of care provided by Golden Cross. President Franklin Padrão Junior emphasized the commitment to providing the best medical care with high quality and geographic coverage. The partnership for the use of Amil’s network by Golden Cross beneficiaries is permitted under health insurance regulations, with no need for authorization from the agency, only communication in cases of changes in contractualization type.
